Sketches,Hospital and The Store
These are some sketches I made today while sitting in the hospital for five hours with my son. Since I had some time and very little to work with this is what I came up with!
“steps to sketching-animal crackers”
“The evolution is impossible tree”
“I’m not saying nothing…about anyone here

I thought the day had been pretty stressful after going to the hospital. Then I finally get the children nestled in their beds. Suddenly I remembered I need to cook a meal big enough to feed thirteen people tomorrow after noon for our church. I went into the store to get stuff for chicken soup and as I got to the line I was intending to check out in. Three ladies were in front of me. They had (so they thought) successfully grabbed all the sale items they could possibly have gotten. Only to realize when they got to the register that they were mistaken about several of the items. The store clerk carefully informed them that they had been mistaken. But to be sure they wanted to see the adds and this went on for over twenty minutes. I looked at this as an opportune time to share my faith with the people around me. The first qualified suspects were four young kids. Two of which I identified as male and two female, one guy had nothing but a leather vest on so you could get a clear glimpse of his chest in case you were wondering. After handing them tracts from our church to my surprise the girls were very receptive, even thankful. The next couple I gently handed a tract to in a discreet manner. The guy informed me that I was doing it all wrong and gave me a proper loud presentation of “what an invitation to my church should be”. I then engaged them in conversation about salvation for several minutes and had some great encouragement from them. I finally reached the apologetic cashier with unstoppable laughter as the three ladies almost forget one of their bags. I have everything completely prepared at this point to get through the line faster than any one ever has. Then the cashier who seems delighted by my laughter at the three ladies says. “You have to have one of those every day, I haven’t had my moment like that yet so here it is. I am going to have to find my happy place now!†I could not stop laughing and when the screen said do you want money back I screamed “NO NO!” implying I just wanted out of the store. Then the cashier screamed “run run†as I headed towards the exit. The Lord knows exactly what each of us needs-his mercies are new everyday the Bible says. It can be such a joy to die to self and share the gospel with people and there is no telling how they will react!
