God designed the sun to get its power by little explosions that happen inside the sun called thermonuclear fusion. ..
This makes the sun brighter and brighter each year. If we go back in time billions of years the sun would be so dim it could not have provided enough warmth for the earth to have life. Just going back a billion years would make the earth much to cold to have life. This gives us good evidence that the earth is young like the Bible teaches.
There is another “Son” that gives light to the earth. He is the son of God-Jesus him self. Jesus died on a cross for our sins. The Bible tells us “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” 1 John 5:13
We can know if we are going to heaven or not. We can pray opening our hearts to God and ask him to save us from hell and forgive our sin, because Jesus died on the cross for us. Today if you ask him he will save you.
