What Is Faith?
The Bible says “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
“Why should we have faith in the Bible?” seems to be the question I am answering lately for
people. The Bible has so much going for it, it is reasonable faith to believe in the Bible. Clearly there is historical evidence showing the Bible to be true. The places and people mentioned in the Bible are found in many other places in history confirming it to be accurate. Even eye witness accounts of Jesus and many other characters in the Bible can be found. There is the evidence in the lives of believers that have truly changed moral values. The drastic difference between the purity in a true believers life and that of the world. The truth of success found in the Biblical principles. The power the word has among people. The truth that righteousness exalts a nation seen in America because of its foundation on the Bible. The decline of the American nation as it turns from the Bible. The joy, peace and love it brings the believer and lastly the prophecies fulfilled continually by the Bible.
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” John 11:25-26
