From what I understand an independent Fundamental Baptist is simply someone who believes a church should have no governing body who chooses who will go into the pulpit. Rather it should be the people inside the church who choose independently by voting. Fundamental means they believe in the Bible and that a church should line up with the Bible…

What is the problem with that? It sounds pretty smart to me! The Bible is Gods word if the church does not follow the Bible then I would go to one that does. Since I have been attending this kind of church I have seen that God is real, the Bible is true, God loves us and only wants what is best for us. God has standards he wants us to live by for our own protection. Godly standards are a blessing to have in a church. What a blessing it is to have our children taught that modest apparel is important to God and to have other children wearing modest apparel influencing our children. Why do we think that teenage pregnancy is so high today? Most children are not being taught how to possess their vessel in honor anymore. Does God want us drinking?what about drugs? The Bible is clear about these things. God is not pleased when we are doing these things that will hurt us and others. “God is love” he only wants the best for his children, like any loving parent should. I am thankful to have a church that teaches me what the Bible says. But anyone can read the Bible and understand these things for themselves. What about heaven? How do we know if we are going? The Bible says it is not because of some ritual a church can perform for us, but by humbling ourselves and admitting to God “I am a sinner, I do deserve hell, but Jesus died to save me and I want to be saved.” Heaven can be ours simply by pouring out our heart to God. “The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite hear”Psalm 51:17 The Bible says “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10 I accepted Jesus as my savior one night after leaving a service. It is great to be around people who take God and the Bible seriously. I have seen God work in my life since I have been involved in a church that actually teaches the Bible, and I have seen my prayers answered many times. God is real and really wants to have a relationship with us. It brings great peace and joy to know that God will never leave you nor forsake you. Why are so many people sad and depressed today? Because they do not know the God of the Bible who truly loves them. People can never give us perfect unselfish love, only God can. “Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.” Proverbs 60:11
