It has been such a joy! I just read this quote somewhere and it stuck with me.“The only happy life lived is the one lived for the souls of other men.” There is truth in that statement. The happiest time I have is winning the souls of the lost. In the past few weeks we have talked to a few hundred people and been able to lead some of them to the Lord! Most of these people that have made the decision to trust in Jesus have many struggles in their lives. They are glad to be saved and to know they are forgiven, and heaven is their home! Many other people have listened and wanted to pray more privately.It is so exciting to be able to tell others how to be saved and how Jesus changed your own life. The worst feeling ever is quenching the spirit. I just heard some one say “If your not soul winning your missing it.” When we finally get to heaven and all the things of earth are gone, the souls of other people will be there and last forever. It is amazing the things I get to see God do on a daily basis through soul winning!
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:15-16
This is what I found by D.L. Moody -The Qualifications for Soul Winning
1. Shake off the vipers that are in the Church, formalism, pride, and self-importance, etc.
2. It is the only happy life to live for the salvation of souls.
3. We must be willing to do little things for Christ.
4. Must be of good courage.
5. Must be cheerful.
God had no children too weak, but a great many too strong to make use of. God stands in no need of our strength or wisdom, but of our ignorance, of our weakness; let us but give these to Him, and He can make use of us in winning souls.
