Continued News from Sudan
Dear Friends,
I just received two shocking emails from Brother Yagoub who is the director of our Bible College and a pastor operating in Kadugli, the capital of the Nuba Mountains. The Nuba Mountains are located in the southern part of northern Sudan under the control of the Islamic government of Sudan.
These people can do what is mentioned in the email because there are no journalists to report and no witnesses. What makes the situation worse is that the Egyptian soldiers who are Moslems and members of the United Nations Peace Force are taking part in ravaging the villages and burning the churches.
Please help me stop the massacres by sending these two emails to the newspapers, television, congressmen and senators. The sooner the news comes out the sooner we can stop the massacres in the Nuba Mountains.
Feel free to send this to other Christian organizations who care. The media are trying to portray the Suni Moslems as peace loving.
First email as you have previously read:
Dear Dr Edgar ,Greetings . Hope all are well . I write to inform you , friends and partners that a fight between SPLA and government Army has erupted since last Sunday and as a result of Air bombardment , shelling and lootings the town now is in ruin . Civilians are evacuated to safe place outside the town and UN station but even there they are not safe and we are informed that some people were picked up by armed people and killed . Generally the civilians are going through a humanitarian crises because they left their homes without taking any of their belonging or food stuff. Most of the houses are demolished and looted and many civilian are killed .
All churches are either burned or looted including SCOC newly built church which is burned down .
The situation is escalating .Continue to pray with and for us .

Dear Dr. Edgar,
The situation in Nuba Mountains is beyond imagination, almost all the buildings in the town were destroyed, all the churches in the town in Kadougli are either burned or looted, my house was looted all my belongings were taken a way including our fence materials and the motorbike, fortuntely enough I was in Khartoum persuing my visa to Lebanon when the fight started. Please find attached an update information about the situation which is escalating every day, continue to pray with us for the humanitarin needs of the civilians who are now in the open without the basic human needs eg. water, food, shelter and it’s rainy season.Rev.
