“thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ” 2 Corinthians 2:14
No matter what trials life send our way if we are doing the will of God his will cause us to triumph in Christ. When people speak “bitter words” to us we should respond with meekness. “Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 this can be a big trial of ones faith when others are cruel and you respond in a kind way. Often I fail this one my self, we have to remember God “thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.”Psalm 66:10. God is testing our hearts and conforming us to the image of his dear son.
“Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously:” These verses tell us about Jesus and how he responded to people who treated him badly. Then the Bible tells us “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. 1 Peter 2:23-25″ Jesus is the bishop of our souls and we need him in order fr our sins to be forgiven so we can go to heaven, and so we can live the way we aught “in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” Phillipians 2:15. Gods testings are for our good “tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts” Romans 5:3-5
“Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy [place]. Psalm 66:11-12″
