Tollerance
Tolerance-A response to the idea that Christians should be “tolerant” enough not to share the gospel with people of other religions who have never heard the truth.
“God is angry [with the wicked] every day.” Psalm 7:11
God is not pleased with any Christians who can tolerate the fact that millions of people are dieing and going to hell with out the way to heaven and are not telling them the gospel. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 There is no other way for a Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Catholic, Evolutionist, atheist or any one else to get to heaven but by Jesus and this takes humility.
God is not pleased with Christians who can tolerate millions going to hell with out the truth. Jesus through his blood alone purchased us our full salvation on the cross “you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;” Ephesians 2:1. It does not say might have quickened, or may quicken if you keep the law. It says “hath he quickened”. Then it tells us “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. Religions all over the world are trying to get to heaven by works. God does not want works, perfection that only comes through Jesus is what is required to be saved. We can either try to be perfect our selves and fail or be humble enough to admit we are sinners and accept Jesus Christ who was perfect, who went in our place.
That is the “one sacrifice for sins for ever” Hebrews 12:10. The Bible also says “without shedding of blood is no remission.” Hebrews 9:22. Our sins can not be forgiven with out Jesus Christs blood that was shed on the cross. So what happens if our sins are not forgiven “the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8
Thankfully Christ loved us not as people love other people. But with a love that was sacrificial he even gave his life and blood for our sin. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:3 Jesus sacrificed his life for us and all we need to do is call upon his name and ask him to be our savior. What a great gift! Can you think of a greater gift than this?
Why would any one not want to give this gift to others? The answer to this is either pride, selfishness or both. How can any one be tolerant of the fact that other people are trying to work their way to heaven, while being held in the bond of sin, and will inevitably end up in hell with out Christ? Unless however they are told the truth and are set free through him.
“Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3
