God Uses Bad For Good

God Uses Bad For Good

I have seen it and understand it to be true, God uses bad for good. In my own life the suicides of

two of my friends, and a few other acquaintances brought me to a point where I was asking questions about heaven and hell. Although these were tragic and traumatizing events they were moving my life into the postion where I would under stand salvation. The Bible tells us ” God [is] my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. ” Psalm 74:2 Every broken heart God is using to bring us closer to him. “The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. ” Psalm 34:18 After being in another difficult situation with my first child someone told me Jesus was God. I did not know if it was true or not so I opened my heart for one of the first times I can remember and asked God to show me if he was Jesus. Over the course of the next couple years that is just what God did! God orchestrated things in my life only he could do. My family moved to a different area because of a job that just happened to become available, then at a conference I heard a lady say “all the glory went to Jesus for what God had done in her life”. I was mad and stunned, then another person ended up talking to me about Jesus after I complained about this woman from the conference. I was directed to some creation science videos and shown the evidence that I needed to understand that the Bible was true. After I started going to a good (Independent fundamental Baptist) church, I heard clear gospel preaching of salvation. That “[it is] the gift of God: ” Ephesians 2:8 and ” Not of works, lest any man should boast. ” Ephesians 2:9. We are all sinners Romans 3:23 “all have sinned” and the “wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23 which is talking about hell “the second death” and “whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. ” Revelation 20:15. Then I learned that although we deserve the lake of fire, God is loving and he gave himself/his son on the cross of Calvary for our sins. “he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever” Hebrews 10:12. Because he did this for me if I asked him with my heart to save me I would be saved. ” as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: ” John 1:12  I went home from church one night remembering that with out Christ I was on my way to hell, I had a broken heart once again about the thought of being cast in to a lake of fire. That night I called upon God again, this time asking Jesus to save me from hell and take me to heaven. Then I knew I had received that “Gift of God” and the value of that gift overwhelmed my heart with joy. I wanted to share that gift with every one, and still do. God used my broken heart to bring me to him, and now I am on my way to heaven. God uses bad for good!

“we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. ” Romans 8:28
