“all the gods of the nations are idols”

“all the gods of the nations are idols:” Psalm 96-98

God tells believers to “Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.” Why tell them? Because often they do not know that God has made every thing around them.“Ye that love the LORD, hate evil:” If we love God there is no problem talking about him to other people…

It is wrong not to! A man I just heard preach said that none of the false gods ever claim to love any one. Just the God of the Bible, Jesus shows us his love ” God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ” John 3:16.

I often run into people who think God saved them once but they probably need to be saved again because they have done some wrong things since then. He does not just save us, he keeps us “he preserveth the souls of his saints” where our sin abounds his grace does much more abound. If any of us claim to have stopped sinning since we have been saved, we are liars. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ” 1 John 1:8. We are not made perfect because we have asked Jesus to save us, we are justified by his blood, just as if we had never sinned to God. We can sin less because of our salvation,it changes the way we think about people, and every thing around us. But we still sin. For example a common response for a believer when they meet some one new is to wonder if that person is on their way to heaven and do all that they can to help that person see the savior. But this does not make a believer perfect!

Over the summer we have run into people from many different nations and beliefs. All I find when speaking to them is uncertainty about their “ever after”. The Bible believing born again Christian has no uncertainty. When I ask a born again Christian if they are sure they are going to heaven they reply yes, I have asked Jesus to save me from hell, or I have asked Jesus in to my heart something along those lines. If I ask someone who considers them self a “Christian” but is not truly born again they say I attend church, I have been baptized, I have been confirmed, or I am a good person. None of things things provide any certainty about where they will spend eternity and none of them will get them into  heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. He requires no good work to get to heaven, just your heart and your mouth. ” if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ” Romans 10:9 and “with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ” Romans 10:10 tell us this. If your are willing to humble your self and pray and ask him to save you, then you will be saved. If not you will be cast into the lake of fire, he requires no good work infact he will not take our good works at all for us to enter heaven. “He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber..” John 10:1 tells us this.” by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: ” Ephesians 2:8-9.

“LORD hath made known his salvation”

Some of these pictures are from a park we visited over the summer and gave out gospel tracts. The Lord gave us over three hundreds souls that accepted Jesus as their savior so far. Praise the Lord!
