-Wall-street painting

This is a painting from my book I have illustrated called What Makes America Great? depicting wall-street. The point of this painting was to show that money has helped America but it is not what makes America great. Here is an excerpt from the book where the characters are talking to each other about what makes America great:

“Do you think money makes America great? Money has helped America but money does not make America great. Some Americans have given their lives to serve God and have helped our country to be free! The Bible says “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” America can not have freedom without God.” Faithful the Elephant explained.

“I have heard it said that countries and people seem to have cycles. They go from abundance (which means having more than then need) to apathy (Which means they are not happy with what they have). Then they go from apathy to bondage (someone else is in charge of them) and from bondage to great spiritual truth (belief in God) and back to abundance again.” Justice the donkey told his friends.”

This excerpt sums up the simple fact that all the money in the world can not make a person or country happy. But the inner peace from knowing God is what gives a person and country true joy and greatness. “the joy of the LORD is your strength. ” Nehemiah 8:10
