The purpose of “Creationartist” is to use Art work to share the knowledge of creation and the gospel with those who have no saving faith. The Artist is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Christian, Painter, Author, mother and soulwinner named Alyssa.

“I made “creationartist” after I was saved. I was making artwork for a church and I realized the Lord could use my paintings to teach people about Christ. I was burdened for people would learn about creation since learning about the scientific laws of creation and Noah’s flood are what led me to believe in Jesus Christ.  I did not grow up in a Christian home. I had a difficult upbringing and I participated in immoral things. I only thought about God when things were going extremely bad. After the suicides of some of my friends and acquaintances I began to wonder about Heaven and hell. I was scared and grieved not to know what would happened when people died. I was taught the theory of evolution and never opened a Bible on my own. I began to wonder about the after life and occasionally would run into people who talked about Jesus. I finally asked some one ” Who is Jesus?”  All I knew was evolution. Someone directed me to creation science evangelism videos. I watched one and began to understand that scientific laws require a creator. I began to understand that evolution is not true or reasonable at all! I found the Bible is historically accurate, perfect and answers all my questions about death, heaven and hell. Eventually I started attending an Independent fundamental Baptist church, and one night I came home and prayed and asked Jesus to save me from hell. This has drastically changed my life. God has made my life worth living,he has given me an abundant life.“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”Psalm 27:13.  Now the Lord has called my husband to build house churches and we are enjoying starting New Testament house churches like example set for us is Acts.  http://faithbylove.wordpress.com/

Coming to know the Lord has had a drastic effect on my artwork and my life. As a child I learned some Indian traditions from my grandparents that led me to believe that there might be a higher power but I was not sure who it was. This drove me to do Indian art work in my early years. In high school after learning evolution, I started to think maybe there was no God. Believing evolution left me unable to understand why we have death and suffering. Also what the purpose of my life was at all! My art work became dark and dreary reflecting my life with out God. Suicides during my High School years resulted in the loss of a couple of my friends and were traumatic to say the least. But it woke me up to the fact that we all die and need to know where we are going before that happens.

After spending years searching for the truth I learned that through Jesus we can all have a new life if we ask him to save us we can go to heaven. He will take us to heaven not because we are “good” or worthy but because he was worthy to go in our place and take our sins upon himself. Heaven is a free gift purchased at a great price! You could not buy it if you wanted to! We must just “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” Acts 16:31. Now much of my artwork is being used as evangelism tools to give hope to a world that without Christ is lost forever in hell. My family and I are pioneering a  “Fundamental” house church, which means a house church that lives out what the Bible teaches in Kalamazoo.           - Alyssa “Creationartist”
