What is soul winning? “he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30 
Soul winning is simply sharing the gospel with people. The gospel is that Jesus is the sinless creator God who took on the form of a man to die in order to make payment for the sins of all people. He rose from the grave defeating death to save anyone from hell who believes in him and accepts his gift of salvation by heart and by mouth. “if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9.
Soul winning is not an option it is a command from Jesus himself “he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ” Mark 16:15.
Soul winning is a command for a Christian soldier, it is our duty and purpose. To not participate is a horrible shame and loss to the cause of Christ.“though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16. Jesus and his disciples were soul winners and missionaries! “A true witness delivereth souls:” Proverbs 14:25
“Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.” Matthew 22:9
How do I practice soul winning? Some verses to memorize and help you with your soulwining:
“all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”Romans 6:23
“into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:” Matthew 9:45-shows hell has real fire.
“God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ” Romans 5:8
“if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9.
I would use gospel cards and explain to a person as you show them each verse on the card what it means. After you get to Romans 10:9 ask them if they would be willing to pray so that God can save them today. Have them pray out loud, repeat after you if needed. Example:
“I know I have sinned and deserve hell. But I want you Jesus to save me and take me to heaven. I know you died to save me and rose again to live forever. In Jesus name I pray Amen.”
Where can I go soul winning? Any where! Every where, God wants to open doors and hearts to him!You can go door to door, walk down town and hand out tracts, Parks, online blogs, cashiers, friends, relatives..everyone needs to be told how to go to heaven.
Today I was dressed up for church on a Wednesday night and a man at a fireworks booth asked me why I was dressed up and I told him we just got back from church and gave him a tract.
My favorite is parks! I can take our children with us and they enjoy meeting new people: We get to have one on one conversations with thousands of people in our community about our Lord Jesus Christ. We hand out several different gospel tracts and explain the love of Christ the best we can to every one we come into contact with.
Some examples from my soul winning diary:
-Today we came a crossed a couple who had just lost their son a few weeks ago. This couple was still grieving and were very glad to speak with us. They told us that when their boy was eleven he had an accident and had been on a feeding tube for many years. The Father said they got a call when they were actually at a different funeral that their son was passing. When they got to him they said it was as if he was asking them if it was okay for him to go. To this the mom and dad told him to go be with Jesus. Shortly after he left for eternity. They said they had great peace knowing they had faith in Jesus and had shared their own faith with their child. None of us know when our eternity will begin. That is why we must know Jesus is the only savior and must share the truth of the gospel with others so they also can be saved. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1John 5:13
-Can Everyone Go To Heaven? I ran into a young mother at the park who said that the church she went to told her that she could not be saved because she had an abortion. I told her Jesus died for all of our sins no matter how bad they are. The Bible says, whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. Romans 10:13.
-We had the privilege of leading four tough looking teenage girls to the Lord who were sitting at a picnic table after school! I asked the four girls if they knew Jesus died for them so that they could be saved. Most of them said they had heard that Jesus had died for them before, but they did not know they needed to ask him to save them. They prayed with me right there and received eternal life.
So far since we started the park ministry we have seen over 300 souls saved and given out tens of thousands of tracts. We will probably find that many more who took tracts were saved when we get to heaven. Praise God!
